Marion and Alistair McArthur welcome you to discover our three self catering cottages set among the rural countryside, sandy beaches and close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Preseli Hills where peace, comfort and winter log fires will help you relax and enjoy beautiful Wales.
The two traditional Welsh stone farm cottages have both been extended and fully modernised to provide excellent facilities and benefit from great family kitchens and dining areas, comfortable lounges with winter log fires, well presented bedrooms with duvets and pretty linens, ample storage for clothes and modern entertainment systems including Broadband, Wi-Fi, flat screen HD TV, Radio and access through your computer to Sky Go and Virgin TV Anywhere to view your home packages of sport and film. The kids will know how to use X Box, gaming, etc.
If you are a bit like the two of us, good food and a glass of wine fit into the plan quite nicely!
The bungalow (Preswylfa Cottage) is modern and has been unobtrusively adapted to suit both able bodied and disabled visitors – with a wheelchair ramp via the garage and wide corridors, doorways and grab handles to help get around and use the ramp and bathroom.
There are good off road parking facilities and large wooded garden areas with many flowering shrubs and plants and at Preswylfa, a stream, spring and well stocked fish pond.
Dogs are welcome!
In an effort to encourage you to come we offer deals on short breaks and special offers including price reductions. For the latest offer see the booking pages.
There are lots of activities all within reach in Pembrokeshire and further afield in Wales. Local towns include Newport with sailing and golf and gentle walks: Fishguard with shops, pubs and the ferry to Ireland; St Davids with bijou shops, galleries and a fabulous cathedral and Narberth with a great selection of shops, restaurants and a spectacular Spanish delicatessen. Then there is Tenby, Cardigan and many more.
Sports available include golf, fishing, cycling, walking, swimming, plus co-steering along the beaches and cliffs. All three cottages are within a short walk of the National Trust Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with well over 150 miles to explore!
For expensive sports equipment we offer locked storage facilities at Preswylfa and all three cottages have washing and drying facilities. If you walk out along the Coastal Path the Puffin Shuttle or Poppit Rocket and other buses will bring you home to the door (or vice versa).
If you prefer gentler sports – bird watching is magnificent in Pembrokeshire with spectacular days out available at Skomer Island for puffins and many sea birds.
A visit north to Aberystwyth and in season you can see the starling murmuration and roost beneath the pier and daily, see the Red Kite being fed up at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre. The picturesque town of Aberaeron is en route.
North of Cardigan on the coast is Mwnt with dolphins to watch in the Bay.
The whole area has good restaurants, fish and chip shops and pubs galore – with two pubs a short walk away in Dinas Cross village.
All three of our cottages hold the 4* Grade from Visit Wales and are regularly audited. Janet and Kelly clean and present the cottages with new bed linen, a Welcome Package of tea, coffee and Welsh Cakes all ready for your arrival and towels are available on request. We do not permit smoking in the cottages.
We know that you will find the cottages comfortable, peaceful and restful. We have even had a request from recent guests for full details of the new bed they used and they went home and bought one!
Please come! We would love to welcome you.
